You can use the scholarship at any of the following Nebraska public institutions:
Nebraska Community Colleges- Central, Metropolitan, Mid-Plains, Northeast, Southeast, or Western Nebraska
Nebraska State College System- Chadron State, Peru State, or Wayne State
University of Nebraska- NCTA, UNK, UNL, UNMC, or UNO

Applications are available online on November 1st. All of the application materials are due on February 1st.

All eligible applications will be reviewed and awards will be determined based on the following criteria:
5. When do applicants find out if they have received the scholarship?
Every applicant who completes an application will receive a decision notification via email by May 1st.
6. Do I need to submit an official high school transcript?
Yes. The high school transcript must be official and uploaded to the online application. You should be able to obtain this from your high school or guidance counselor.
7. Am I required to file a FAFSA?
Financial need is one of the criteria for the scholarship and is determined by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submitting a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR). Please go to www.fafsa.ed.gov for more information on filing for federal student aid.
8. How do I submit the two recommendations?
Recommendations are submitted online and you will need the correct email address for each Recommender.
9. If I receive a scholarship, do I need to reapply each year?
No. The scholarship will automatically renew each semester for up to five years at a four-year college or up to three years at a two-year college if you continue to meet the scholarship requirements, or until you graduate or obtain your bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.
10. What costs are covered with this scholarship?
The scholarship can be used to cover expenses related to attending college (e.g. resident tuition and fees, housing, books). The amount of the scholarship varies by institution but is typically equal to the average cost of tuition and fees for a full-time student (15 credits) at that institution.
